Vază ceramică vintage marca Jasba, produsă în Germania de Vest în perioada anilor 1960–1970. Design autentic mid-century / Fat Lava, cu glazură lucioasă galben intens și decor geometric negru în relief. O piesă decorativă expresivă, specifică esteticii West Germany Pottery.

"West German pottery: Jasba

Jasba Keramikfabriken was founded in 1926 by Jakob Schwaderlapp, the same man who founded Ceramano in 1959. The company name was derived from the letters Ja of the founder's first name, the letter S at the beginning of his last name, and the first two letters of the name of the town in which the factory was located, Baumbach.

Popular early lines included Cortina and Jaspatina, and the major designers were Cilli Wörsdörfer in the 1950s and Christiane Reuter in the 1960s. Wörsdörfer tended to produce pieces in matte glazes and somewhat sedate colors. Around the time Reuter took over as designer in 1960, Jasba started a line called Bunte Welt der Keramik (Colorful World of Ceramics), which featured brightly colored shiny glazes.

Jasba pieces were usually produced in off-white clay. Markings usually included the words West-Germany, either raised or impressed, within a rectangle. If the company name was present, it was generally found within an oval. Paper labels and metal foil labels were sometimes used, and occasionally wax labels can be found intact.

Jasba ceased production of art pottery in the 1970s, but the company is still in business today, primarily involved in the manufacture of tile."
